At Les Tontons du Huitième, our tables have been part of the story for more than ten years. It began on the terrace, with their most iconic expression: small black enamelled steel tabletops, brass-edged and set on cast-iron lion-paw legs. A deliberate nod to old Paris, these bistro tables feel timeless—elegant, sturdy, and effortlessly evocative of another era. They carry the weight of habit, of familiar meetings, of moments repeated and savored.

Inside, the atmosphere shifts. Light softens, midnight-blue walls deepen the space, and a large gilded chandelier draws the eye. As evening falls, candles line the windows, their glow reflecting gently off the tables. Here, our Antique Brass tabletops take center stage, designed specifically for a project imagined by Studio Carbone. When first installed, the brass reveals a warm luminosity, shaped by a hand-finished circular brushing that catches every glimmer of light. Over time, the surface evolves: patina settles in, reflections mellow, and the material comes alive. Each tabletop becomes one of a kind, marked by use, by time, by the life of the place itself.

Nothing here is frozen in time. The furniture ages gracefully, adapting and bearing witness. Between the timeless terrace and the cozy interior, Les Tontons du Huitième celebrates a living elegance, where the pleasure of dining meets conviviality, and where décor is meant not just to be admired, but lived with.
